School Committee Adopts Immigrant Solidarity Resolution Unanimously

Northampton School Committee unanimously adopts comprehensive immigrant protection resolution establishing new safety protocols. The Committee voted 10-0 to adopt the resolution creating district protocols to protect immigrant students from immigration enforcement, effective beginning the new academic year. Superintendent Annie Azarloza expressed full support and indicated the policy will be implemented consistently across all six schools.

The Committee also approved a one-year YMCA facilities agreement (9-1) and defeated a proposed meeting disruption rule (5-5 tie).
