NORTHAMPTON — Committee approves director role requiring principal experience. The Northampton School Committee voted 7-1-1 on July 29 to approve a redesigned Director of Teaching and Learning position, replacing the Director of Curriculum and Instruction role. Member Renika Montgomery-Tamakloe voted no; Member Anat Weisenfreund abstained. The Committee also unanimously approved renaming the after-school program to NEST (Northampton Extended School Time), developed through collaboration with students, teachers, and site coordinators.
