Northampton commission awards two liquor licenses via lottery

Other Committee · Meeting of July 22, 2026

Northampton License Commission awards two liquor licenses by random drawing in a single afternoon. Presiding commissioner Natasha Yakovlev and Commissioner Jennifer Ewers ran the commission's first open lottery for a new license, drawn among Three Publicans LLC, Howell Hospitality LLC and 16 Armory LLC; 16 Armory won. Commissioners then held a same-day second lottery for a license previously revoked from NoHo Social LLC, awarding it to Three Publicans, opening as Proof and Concept.

The commission also approved four short-term and seasonal licenses 2-0 apiece, for Hardwick Vineyard and Winery's three-county fair sales, India House and Spoleto's Taste of Northampton participation, and Mineral Hills Winery at Flow Fest. Flow Fest organizer Chloe Torrey agreed to a tighter, roped-off "beer garden" plan after commissioners questioned how alcohol would be contained along Main Street, saying the perimeter "is going to be very clearly marked off."
