NORTHAMPTON --
TOWN -- Two recreation projects funded through the Community Preservation Act are advancing, according to discussion at the Community Preservation Committee's Sept. 30 meeting. A CPA-funded baseball scoreboard "is installed and working," committee staff reported. The city's planned pump track is also moving toward construction: "last I heard was that, uh, recreation department was looking at going out to bid fairly soon," a committee member said at the meeting. The committee separately noted the city is still paying down debt service tied to earlier recreation-field work, including payments connected to Florence Fields.
