School Committee votes to authorize Business Administrator hire negotiations

Northampton School Committee votes 6-0 to pursue Business Administrator hire. The Committee, after interviewing candidate Ann Marie DaSilva Nembirkow on budget management, Chapter 70 funding, and special education collaboration, voted to empower the Superintendent to enter negotiations with her. Members commended her collaborative approach and knowledge of grant and budget administration.
The Committee also voted 4-2 to permit Member Bartoli to represent the Committee at the May 27 City Council budget presentation and discussed potential use of the $114,000 remaining in the Special Education Stabilization Fund.
