Pollinator subcommittee approves prior minutes, endorses garden expansion plan
Energy & Sustainability Commission Pollinator Habitat Subcommittee · Meeting of January 16, 2026
Northampton's Pollinator Subcommittee approved September meeting minutes and endorsed plans for expanding pollinator gardens alongside spring tree plantings. Voting members Angie Gregory and Richard Parasiliti met January 16 and backed the Northampton High School environmental club's expansion effort, coordinated with the Rotary Club and Tree Northampton. The club raised $990 through styrofoam collection in January.
City will cover costs for trees planted on private property within 20 feet of public right of way, with set-back plantings preferred for better soil conditions.
