Northampton Planning Board unanimously approves two site plans requiring lighting and driveway compliance work. The board approved Alexandra Porter's conversion of a historic accessory structure at 114 S. Main Street in Florence to residential use, with exterior lighting required to comply with town ordinance after neighbors James F.
Shinnick and Margo Shinnick raised concerns about noise, lighting impacts, and potential rental operation. In a second unanimous vote, the board approved a shared driveway agreement for two parcels at Stone Ridge Drive, represented by The Berkshire Design Group, with conditions requiring recordation of easements with maintenance obligations, certified arborist tree protection, as-built engineering verification of compliant driveway grading and runoff, and planting of two replacement trees or equivalent payment in lieu.
