Planning Board approves 39-unit cluster on Glendale Road with conditions

NORTHAMPTON — The Northampton Planning Board unanimously approved a 39-unit residential cluster on Glendale Road in Florence, subject to 10 conditions addressing open space, traffic safety, and environmental standards. Director Carolyn Misch clarified permitting procedures after neighbor concerns. The applicant must dedicate 54.3 acres of open space in two phases, install a 6-foot fence along 285 Glendale Road, and meet strict lighting and fire-flow requirements.

The board also continued a hearing on Cooley Dickinson Hospital's ambulance canopy lighting waiver to May 14.
