Northampton schools detail special education staffing and service gaps.

Northampton school leaders hear special education staffing presentation with gaps identified. Director Holloway presented staffing needs under the FY27 budget, proposing a 1.0 FTE Associate Director of Student Services and noting the district has expanded transition services at the high school to serve all IEP students. The district funded autism endorsement training for ten educators.

Member Michael Stein questioned whether the budget addresses upper-grade needs, and Director Holloway reported the district lacks sufficient resources to meet the speech therapy needs of its students.
