NORTHAMPTON — License Commission approves nine liquor licenses and restores Haze entertainment hours. The Northampton board unanimously granted short-term wine and malt licenses to the Northampton Center for the Arts (with fee waiver), Available Potential Enterprises d/b/a A.P.E. (contingent on insurance), and Pedigo Services d/b/a Quonk; a full all-alcoholic license to Euphoria Proud, Inc. (with nonprofit fee waiver); two new Common Victualler licenses to Uya Florence, LLC and Annakoch, Inc. d/b/a Nice Tea (with one amusement device); and 11 new automatic amusement device licenses to Bowl New England d/b/a Spare Time Northampton. At a public hearing, resident Eric Bennett reported noise at Haze had substantially improved, and operator Anja Wood detailed installation of safety features and soundproofing initiatives.
Building Commissioner Kevin Ross confirmed fire exit inspection. Commissioners voted unanimously to restore Haze's previously approved entertainment hours.
