License Commission approves Arts Night Out; modifies Haze entertainment license hours

NORTHAMPTON — The Northampton License Commission approved a year-round short-term wine and malt liquor license for the Downtown Northampton Association's Arts Night Out series, running monthly from January through December at nine downtown locations. In the same meeting, the commission voted unanimously to modify the entertainment license held by Pedigo-Wood, LLC d/b/a Haze after a public hearing on noise and safety complaints from residents at 24 Main Street. The modification narrows entertainment hours to Tuesday through Saturday (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Tuesday, 3 p.m. to 12 a.m. Thursday through Saturday) and requires installation of a fire exit sign within 30 days. The commission scheduled a follow-up hearing to reassess the license modifications.
