Northampton License Commission approves outdoor dining extensions and schedules liquor lottery. The three-member board unanimously approved 14 temporary outdoor dining permits for downtown restaurants, most valid through November 13, 2026, authorizing use of parking spaces, sidewalks, and dedicated lots for expanded seasonal seating. Chair Natasha Yakovlev, Commissioners Jennifer Ewers and Amy Cahillane also approved new licenses for Augustine's Pizza Club, Walz Motors wholesale dealer, and Shah's Halal Food, and voted to hold a lottery for the city's remaining all-alcohol liquor license on July 22 with eligibility requirements including a signed lease and minimum three-day weekly operation.
