Human Rights Commission approves I.C.E. trifold recording and Juneteenth tabling

NORTHAMPTON — The Human Rights Commission unanimously approved posting an audio recording of its I.C.E. Resource Trifold online and committed to tabling at the city's June 6 Juneteenth event. Chair Jasmine Goodspeed and Commissioners Kathleen Chapman, Jamila Gore, and Amy Lawton voted to distribute the trifolds through churches, coffee shops, thrift stores, libraries, and bookstores.
Staff Scott Hoiberg will coordinate printing and distribution. The Commission also scheduled an expert presentation on voting rights and the SAVE Act for its May 28 meeting, to be arranged by Commissioner Lawton through her dissertation advisor.
