Human Rights Commission approves I.C.E. resource trifold and discusses Juneteenth support

NORTHAMPTON — The Human Rights Commission unanimously approved a revised I.C.E. Resource Trifold featuring QR codes and links to dynamically updated resources on immigrants' rights and responsibilities. Chair Jasmine Goodspeed will record an audio version; Commissioner Amy Lawton will translate it to Spanish.
The commission also discussed supporting a June 6 Juneteenth event organized with the Youth Commission, with Goodspeed investigating water provision and Commissioner Kathleen Chapman pursuing Library of Congress materials for event zines. Staff member Amy DiCaprio presented on the commission's advisory role as it resumes regular operations.
