Housing Partnership approves prior minutes; discusses frozen market-rate housing and advancing affordable units

NORTHAMPTON — Housing Partnership reviews frozen housing market and regulatory tools. Vice-Chair Hannah Shaffer led a meeting during which Planning and Sustainability Director Carolyn Misch detailed 266 approved market-rate units frozen by economic pressures and 189 affordable units in progress, including 60 on Bridge Road and 30 behind City Hall. The partnership approved prior minutes unanimously and directed Shaffer to revise a draft housing resource brochure with feedback on translation, audience targeting, and distribution locations.
Keith Benoit reported the Evergreen Road affordable homeownership project expects summer construction completion.
