NORTHAMPTON — The Northampton Housing Authority board voted to add summaries of its board minutes to monthly property newsletters. Commissioners also heard that a resident died on the premises at McDonald House in May and that another resident, Dahlia, collected 15 petition signatures over windows that "can't open" and are "broken." Fee accountant Michael Caine reported legal spending of $165,451 year to date while the authority's state operating reserve stood at 89 percent against a 35 percent minimum. The board accepted an ADA bathroom completion certificate at Hamblin Court 5-0 with one abstention, and Cahill resident Lisa Morales said the executive director search process "is feeling quite performative" because tenants got too little time with candidate resumes.
