Northampton Finance Committee approves $2.1 million free cash appropriation. The City Council Committee on Finance unanimously voted on February 25 to recommend Order 26.003, appropriating $2.1 million in free cash to various reserve accounts. Chair Deborah Klemer, Vice Chair Meg Robbins, Councilor Rachel Maiore, and Councilor Aline Davis all voted in favor after the committee delayed the matter in January pending the Mayor's budget forecast.
The committee also approved amended minutes from its January organizational meeting, requesting that Finance Director Nardi provide consistent documentation of retained earnings balances across all enterprise funds in future submissions.
