Commission plans Disability Pride Month story time series

Northampton Disability Commission plans July story times for Disability Pride Month. The commission, led by Chair Amy Sugihara, directed members to coordinate with disability commissions in Amherst, Easthampton, Holyoke, and South Hadley on accessible family programming featuring books by and about disabled authors and characters. The events will be held at Forbes Library and Lilly Library, with all details to be finalized by May to allow time for interpreter arrangements and other accessibility preparations.
The commission approved prior meeting minutes with nine members voting affirmative and one abstaining.
