Historical Commission · Meeting of April 6, 2026

NORTHAMPTON — The Northampton Historical Commission unanimously approved Elm Street renovations at its April 6 meeting. Michael Curtin moved to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for Charles Roberts' 330 Elm Street property, with Hannah Ray seconding the unanimous vote. The project includes a garage addition, window replacements, and carriage house conversion to a gym.

The commission also heard presentations on four Community Preservation Act funding requests totaling over $400,000: Historic Northampton's $250,000 request for restoration of the 1719 Parsons House, the Forbes Library Coolidge Museum's $150,000 lighting project, and support for the Daughters of the American Revolution's Revolutionary War Cemetery memorialization.
