NORTHAMPTON — City Services Committee elects Dubs chair, Stratton vice chair. The committee unanimously elected Councilor Jeremy Dubs as chair; Councilor Chris Stratton became vice chair after three voting rounds that initially deadlocked 2-2 with Councilor Deborah Klemer. The committee voted unanimously for a neutral recommendation on Attorney Alan Seewald's appointment as city solicitor, though Councilors Meg Robbins and Stratton indicated they would prefer a positive recommendation but were compelled to recommend neutrality due to their conviction about the need for separate legal counsel serving the City Council exclusively.

All four committee members were present.
